Cardio - This is the biggest misconception out there. People think that doing hours upon
hours of cardio will get you into lean and great shape. WRONG! Acutally,
traditional slow-paced cardio can actually hurt you, as it can and often burns valuable,
calorie-burning muscle. Just take a look at all the same people who do tons of cardio at
your gym. They are still the same fat person they were a year ago.

Strict
Low-Calorie and Low Carb Diets - DIETS DON'T WORK! All these fad diets really don't get
you to shed mounds of fat and look great. Sure, if you want to drop any kind of weight, go ahead
and take all your carbs out. Sure, your weight will drop, but, you will be losing more muscle
than fat, and your body fat percentage will actually go up. And eventually, you will get so sick
and tired of not having carbs (as you will be constantly lacking energy, focus, and taste), you will
gain all your weight back and then some. I've even seen this with some of our Houston Boot Camp
clients before they came clients.

Diet
Pills - This is an incredible waste of money. People will believe anything when they are
desperate to lose weight. All these diet pills and bogus fat loss supplements will just make
you cranky and give you an upset stomach. And a recent study proved that most of
these bogus fat loss supplements DON'T even contain theh actual ingredients they say they
do. And there is no actual regulation of these bogus supplements. Do yourself a

Rate - Your metabolism monitors how many calories you burn in a give period of time. People who
are over-weight have very slow metabolisms, where they are simply consuming more calories than they are

Fat-Burning Hormone (Glucagon) - Your fat-burning hormone, when stimulated, helps you burn
body fat. People who are over-weight, are constantly stimulating their fat storage hormone,
insulin, causing them to store all their calories as fat. It's that simple.
How do I speed up my metabolism and stimulate my fat-burning
hormone?
As you can see, you need to increase your
metabolic rate and stimulate your fat-burning hormone in order to burn tons of body fat and get into lean, tone,
amazing shape. And doing excessive, traditional slow-paced cardio does not do that. Neither does eating low-carb or
other fad diets.
You need a combination of intelligent exercise and
nutrition, that does consist of weight resistance, interval training and balanced nutrition. By incorporating the
correct method of exercise, you will be able to increase your metabolic rate dramatically for up to 48
hours afterwards (as opposed to just a couple of hours as with traditional cardio).
